View this post on Instagram Welcome to Port Austin where barn art is becoming quite popular. . This new installation is called “Secret Sky”. The 100-year-old barn has been salvaged and the artist @catienewell has split the barn in two with what she calls a ”slice”. The slice can be seen on the left side of the barn, which is where Catie is standing beneath her work. Catie is a professor at the University of Michigan and is the principal of @alibistudio (an architect firm). It was an honor to shoot this project with her and hear all of the detail that went into this 2-year process. . And if your wondering, the barn is lit from multiple light sources. Catie has installed lights on the interior of the barn, which casts off these incredible rays. I also had a @lumecube panel lighting the ”slice” up, as well as two @lumecube lights to light the roof. . Let me know your thoughts below!!
